Uberaba has its origins in the occupation of Triangulo Mineiro, which was under the jurisdiction of Goiás until
1816. It is located in the west if the state of Minas Gerais. Uberaba’s population is 302.623.
The city is quite famous for its very agricultural economy. Famous for creating Zebu cattle, the Expozebu is
now one of the largest fairs in the world in the livestock industry. Despite the clear presence of the field in the
city’s economy in recent decades, a great effort has been made to modernize the industry and services.
Various industries were brought to the city and this has resulted in the creation of three industrial districts.
Uberaba’s trade center is very strong and representative in the region.
The tourism potential of the city of Uberaba is incredibly vast, ranging from the local cultural crafts to the
historical and cultural heritage.
Uberaba integrates the Circuito dos Lagos (circuit of Lakes), entity exploiting from eco­tourism to leisure
tourism, and through partnership with the Convention & Visitors Bureau, the city encourages actions and
events for leisure and business with all its infrastructure of hotels, clubs, parks, conference centers.

Museums: The Decorative Art museum (MADA), the Zebu museum, the Foundation of Sacred Art, Chico
Xavier, and the Dinosaur Museum.
The Market Hall, the building of City Hall Major Eustaquio, the Sagrado Coracao de Jesus Metropolitan
Cathedral, Igrejas Medalha Milagrosa, Sao Domingos, Nossa Senhora da Abadia, and Santa Terezinha do
Menino Jesus. In addition, the Municipal Park Mata do Ipe, the Paleontological Site Peirópolis, and the
National Paleontology Network offer visitors a rich immersive experience in its history and environment.
